They Dared to be Different - sneak preview
With its spectacular position, over-looking sweeping hillside to the sea, the family farm Brynllys, near Aberystwyth also became the first certified organic dairy farm in Britain.
Dinah Williams is now in her 90s and has always been passionate about natural healing and medicine. She attributes her admirable longevity to eating good quality, natural food, a daily walk and a cold bath every morning.
However, in a cruel echo of her mother’s experience, in 1966 Dinah too found herself a relatively young widow in a man’s world and it was to her middle daughter, Rachel, that she turned to help maintain the farm.
Rachel and her husband, Gareth, went on to steer the organic farm through its darkest times in the face of institutionalised mainstream agriculture, an oppressive Milk Marketing Board and EU milk quotas.
